Why to pray? The answer to this question is a question by itself, does this act make us feel humble. Then its 'Patiently reaching a yearning eager radiance'. Reminded of a sentence..'The sin that you regret in your heart is more liked by God than the good deed that makes you feel proud.' So if pride/to be proud/make someone proud is the goal within our life, its better to rule out prayer/humility. Kind of making a statement, why do we need an institution to teach our kids basic lessons of reading/writing/adding/subtracting..well go ahead and teach and be fruitful..who is stopping any one. When we gather and pray together, we subconsciously get connected to everyone around us. If we think a litter deeper, everyone resourced/unproductive come together with folded hands/bent knees. Very often to become disillusioned / judgemental of community assigned leaders/leaderships for not undertaking their responsibilities virtuously/diligently and loose our track within this process of togetherness, ment for a larger cause/vision within our lives.
Reminded in our sunday homely..a son asked his father why work and prayer should go hand in hand..otherwise.. Why is 'work worship'? The wise father, took his son out and got into their boat and started rowing ahead..the son realised, they were not going any further, they were simply making a circle, by not using the other ore/by not rowing on either side of the boat. The father then got to his point, son.. that is the relevance of prayer, to not keep you within a circle. The speaker/priest further went a step further adding, higher once responsibilities/status within a community/organisation greater the requirement to be submerged within the silence of the prayer.
There are two kinds of prayers. Silent, isolated-personal prayer (Matthew 6:6) / Vocal community prayers (Mark 12; 41-44). Its relevance is as good as having a functional right/left part of our anatomy, within harmony/balance to understand/undertake respectfully. The secret is always to look within/pause/think/decide..for instance, is the brain any more relevant /greater than the intestinal parts..or other parts, which does many vital activities..though differently coloured/cluttered together. Should we be collectively homogeneous/heterogeneous within our outlook? If we always need a logical scientific statistical numbers/reasoning for a smile / humane deed, who can stop anyone. The holy scriptures says, a 'holy spirit' driven individual, does not need the guidance of the law to differentiate between what is ideal/undesired.
Is air only made up of one element? Should one see air, to believe in its properties ? If seen, will it make any difference? The mantra for 'any' physical/emotional development is ..'To learn, unlearn and relearn'. Think is one being guided/driven solely by the holy spirit / by the law..the later is much more challenging/demanding without the resources of the law, that is to place oneself holistically open to the vast possibilities of our universE
